Meet The Owners
The Mill is owned by local Lynden residents Robin and Matt Hungerford. The Hungerfords are excited to be able to live, work, dine and worship in Lynden!
Meet Robin Hungerford:
Robin was born and raised in Ventura, California, she is the oldest of three. Growing up she always had a love for animals. She spent many years in 4-H training Guide Dogs for the Blind, raising livestock and showing horses. Before moving to Washington, she developed a true passion for wine. Robin spent years soaking up as much knowledge as she could from her friends who had traveled all over the world tasting wine. Between her cooking and love for wines, she always wanted a tasting room to share with others in the beauty of pairing . In 2014, that dream came true and Perfectly Paired was born and nestled in the heart of downtown Fairhaven. In addition to Perfectly Paired, Robin enjoys entertaining and throwing dinner parties, boating in the San Juan Islands, being surrounded by her dogs, and sharing her passion of wine and food with others. If she is not at the shop you can usually find her at the barn riding our horse “Max”.
Meet Matt Hungerford:
Born in Bellingham WA and raised in Lynden as a preacher’s son. Matt’s Father was the pastor at Hope Lutheran Church. Matt graduated from Lynden High School and joined the Army National Guard . Matt served 6 years in the Bellingham based 898th Engineer Battalion. Matt has worked at Honcoop Gravel for over 10 years in the scheduling department and oversee the crews. Matt’s daughter, Jaidyn was born April 2nd 2006 and passed away on May 4th, 2012 in a tragic automobile accident . Matt met his wife Robin 6 years ago and they have been married for 2 plus years now. They share a love of quality food and great customer service among many other things. The two live in Lynden, worship at North County Christ the King and also own Perfectly Paired, their wine and cheese shop in Fairhaven. We love the PNW and especially the San Juan Islands, we are avid boaters and I have a major fishing addiction.
Matt and Robin want to extend a huge thank you to Tim and Greg for their vision and dream of this space and allowing us to partner up with them to make this dream become a reality.
